I have a couple of birthday gifts to give this week, so what better gift wrapping than a purse! This one is made with Soft Suede cardstock and Mocha Morning Specialty Designer Series Paper.
The gift card size purse pattern can be found in the 12 Days of Christmas 2011 tutorial on the right hand sidebar or the tutorials page.
I made the flower with muslin and burlap fabrics and a Vintage Brad. I used the Scallops #2 die-cut. Cut 5 scallops. Four of them were folded in quarters and hot glued onto the remaining scallop. The center is the smallest circle from Circles #2 die cut.
This cracked me up when it came in the mail this week. I couldn't imagine why it was so heavy! Leah just couldn't take the two pieces of cardstock as a gift...she had to pay for them! Pretty clever, huh!

GREAT post, Becky! The purse is absolutely gorgeous. Gucci should make it in soft suede colored suede and dress it up with the beautiful glam you added.
And the 55 cents? I thought it was a 55 year old birthday card! :D
TFS! Hugs, Celia
Stunning Purse.
I love this purse the best of all of the ones you have made!
It was great to see you at Leadership!
Love the purse! The soft suede was a perfect color choice! Congratulations Penny, you go girl!! And the .55 was a very cute idea! Such flair!
This is gorgeous!! What comes in the stampin up paper kit? I looked at the link but couldn't see the contents. Also, what happens if a person can't meet the $300 quarterly requirement?
