Top Note Purse Instructions

I posted a Top Note die cut purse that I made for my hostess a couple weeks ago and have had lots of e-mails asking for directions and dimensions.

finished project
I added jumbo eyelets to the scallop lid and Old Olive 5/8" grosgrain for the handle. The embellishment is the 5 Flower Petal punch and the new Jumbo brads in white. I've closed my purse with a sticky back Velcro circle.
Purse box is 5 1/2" x 6"
Score the 6" side at 1", flip it around and score at 1" on the other side.
Score the 5 1/2" side at 2 1/2" & 3 1/2"

1. You'll need 2 Top Note die cuts in cardstock and 2 in DSP if you want to layer them. Carefully trim the top flat so the flap comes over it nice and straight.
2. The flap is the large Scallop Circle die cut in cardstock and DSP is a circle cut from the Coluzzle (6th circle from the center).
3. Cut the box piece as shown above, add Sticky Strip to the edges and assemble.
I trimmed the point off the bottom so it stands up straight. I used the paper piecing tool to make dots around the scallop. I know you're going to ask because I've been asked before...the Stampin' Up! foam thing I keep my paper piercing tool in is an old antenna topper offered to demos on supply YEARS ago.

Apply Sticky Strip to the box and adhere to the Top Notes. Lay them down at first so you can see over the top of them to assure they are matched up perfectly. Before you really, really stick it together, stand it up and make sure it is straight.

Hi Becky do you send your classes to Australia. I would like to buy one, but at the moment don't have the workshop planned, but would like to have it here so I can work toward a get together with my ladies and use your class planner. So I would not be able to let you know who is coming until later on (as you said in the blurb, you would send to their emails) and some of my ladies are not on email. If you could let me know if I am able to buy the planner, I would be grateful. Tks Del

Del,

Yes, I can e-mail the tutorial to you in Australia. I send them all over the world. I send them to people who just want to make them for themselves as well as have a class. You do not have to teach this as a class to purchase it.
Thank you,
Becky

This is so cute. I want to make one for my neice. I have the top note die from Stampin Up but I only have one size. I might be a little slow today can you tell me how you layered them? Is there more than one size now?

Thank you so much for sharing!

Becky,
I took the idea of your design and made 25 of them for the Mothers at church for Mother's Day (small church). I put a travel size of hand sanitizer from bath and Body Works in it for each lady. They were so excited. Amazing what someone can do with a piece of card stock and a Stampin Up! Big Shot. Lovely idea.

I have started cutting one out for my granddaughter. Why is 1 side 5 1/2 because when your box is made the sides look the same?
