Bloomin Beautiful Card Set

Similar to sets I've done before with this georgous stamp set, Bloomin Beautiful. Groovy Guava, Soft Sky & Whisper White cardstocks with Afternoon Tea Designer Paper. This set was for Nicholas' baseball team mom, and had a Starbucks card tucked down inside.

Tiny Suitcases

See this stamp pad? This is how tiny these little suitcases are. I found these on splitcoast in a few different colors and styles by a couple of people, but the instructions came from here, http://www.fiskarscrafts.com/projects/t_circle-purses-and-mini-baskets.aspx They will hold 2 Hershey Nuggets if you don't sqeeze the top closed.
6/19/08 Edited to add: I now have a tutorial on making these little suitcases. (It is much simpler than the Fiskars directions.) If interested, please contact me by e-mail. Becky

ICE...a scrapbooker's escape

Pictures of our Stampin' Up! booth from 'ICE...a scrapbooker's escape' show.

We had such a great weekend participating in ICE. The event was VERY well done! It looked beautiful all decorated in blue and brown with balloon bouquets and towering boxes of prizes. The scrapbooking ladies who attended the weekend crop were a wild and crazy bunch. You should have seen and heard them when the prize music came on!! They had tons of table space and food and fun. Some ladies stayed up all night while others took it easy. They had the most beautiful chocolate fountain and fruit and food buffets and goodies....

This was the first year for this event and I am confident it will be bigger and better every year. If you are even remotely close to Boise, ID, or interested in a road trip, keep an eye on http://www.iceescape.net/ for details about next year's event.

You can click on each of the pictures for larger views.

Thank you Stacy Palmer for taking this event on with me, Jennifer Thomas for letting us borrow your Color Caddy and Stampin' Stack & Store, Craft Warehouse (http://www.craftwarehouse.com/) for their generous donation of the desk pieces and Purple Ice Productions for the wonderful weekend. Oh, and Brian, George & Benjamin for their manual labor and encouragement... in case those guys read this ;) We love you!

Ginger Blossom Lady Bug

This is going to be a busy week as I finish up preparations for this weekend. I am participating in The ICE (Inspiration, Creativity, Experience)...a scrapbookers escape. All the information about this exciting event happening in Boise this weekend can be found here: www.iceescape.net. I have a vendor booth with Stacy Palmer (my friend and SU! demo-neighbor-partner in crime-ex-Californian too) and have been busy, busy, busy making displays and samples for the event. I'll have lots of pictures to share on Monday!

This is one of the cards for the display. I used Groovy Guava cardstock, Ginger Blossom paper, scallop punch (3 of them to make the lady bug body), 1" circle punch, black brads, Guava Stitched Grosgrain ribbon and Stem Sayings for the words. I found this cute ladybug idea on splitcoaststampers by mrstam.

Check out the website, register for the 40 hour crop (I have a few $50 off coupons you can use), sign up for classes or just come to the public shopping day Saturday the 24th. It will be fun!

My Mother's Day gift

While making the mini envelope purses, I decided to make myself a little gift. With both boys having birthdays recently I had several new pictures to use. I covered 2 coasters (compliments of Chili's and a couple margarita's) with Cutie Pie Designer Paper using the Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive, punched holes in them both at the same time with the Crop-A-Dile and laced with black gingham ribbon. I decorated them with Priceless and Stamp of Authenticity images. What am I going to do when Cutie Pie paper is discontinued at the end of this catalog???

More Bloomin' Beautiful

More watercoloring...this time I used Shimmer paper cardstock, ink pads and blender pens. As always, start with the lightest color first. I used Barely Banana over everything, leaves and all. Blend in a circular motion. Next add More Mustard around the flower centers and blend out to the egde of the petal, cleaning the blender pen often so it doesn't get too dark. Be sure to leave white space white. Leaves are Mellow Moss and Old Olive. I picked up a little Pumpkin Pie (I wish :)) and touched it here and there to add additional color to the petals. I wanted the centers really dark so when it was completely dry, I used the Chocolate Chip marker.
Cardstock: Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip and Shimmer paper.
Ink: Staz-On Jet Black, Barely Banana, More Mustard, Pumpkin Pie, Mellow Moss, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip for watercoloring.
Stamp sets: Bloomin' Beautiful, Warm Words, Floral, Canvas, Tres Chic backgrounds.
Accessories: Spiral Punch, sponges for edges, Blender Pens, paper clip, Moss Gingham ribbon, Mellow Moss Taffeta ribbon.

Froggie Card

A little frog card for someone special ;o)
I photographed this card several times and this is the best I can get. It has so much detail to show but the camera didn't care...maybe it is operator error...I barely know how to turn the thing on!

Cardstock: Certainly Celery, Real Red, Whisper White & Watercolor Paper
Inks: Black Staz-On, Real Red, SU! Markers and Aqua Painter
Stamp Sets: Unfrogettable & Priceless
Flowers are cut out and placed on Stampin' Dimensionals, Google eyes and rhinestones attached with Crystal Effects.
