Soft sky & Groovy Guava

These colors are beautiful together. They just don't photograph quite as pretty as they are in real life. Top left is Office Accoutrement's...oops! I think I posted this yesterday :) Middle is using the new Pretties kit flowers and flat sided pearl for the center. I died the center flower by painting it with an Aqua Painter and the Soft Sky ink. The words are from Define Your Life. Right is the same lay out as the middle only flipped. The flowers are the three flower punch that matches the Looks Like Spring set and the 1 1/4" , 1 3/8" circle punches with the new scalloped punch. The scallop edge of the border is done with the new corner rounder. Same principal as the slit punch just smaller. The last two are using the Soft Sky designer paper.

This card is done with Define Your Life and the Bodacious Bouquet sets. The parenthesis are made using the tab punch. It is the side of the punch, can you figure it out? Look at your punch I bet you can. I used the new corner punch and the Soft Sky designer paper also. The colors are Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky and More Mustard.

This and that

I had a left over piece of Purely Pomagranate already cut in half and it was calling me to use it. I am trying to swear off these colors for a while but also had a small piece of Cutie Pie designer paper left over from the last time I played with it...so I just did it, I used it!

Left is Bodacious Bouquet with Define Your Life and Stem Sayings. The other one is the snail from Unfroggetable and words from Bugs and Kisses.

On the right is what may be my newest favorite color combo (for today anyway) Soft Sky and Groovy Guava. I used the new Friend By Definition background stamp and Office Accoutrement sets. I love those jewel brads!

Make yourself at home...

Pets are interesting! Our cat Eric, has been living under the bed for the most part since we got here. Last week he decided to come out and do some exploring. First he demanded a drink from the kitchen sink then he was interested in what was in the pantry. He now seems to be comfortable here and has been out and about quite a bit. Sarah, the dog was just siting there watching the cat do all these weird things!

Catalog Kick-Off

Thank you to all who attended the Catalog Kick-Off in Roseville!

Suzie faxed me all the orders; thank you very much for ordering even though I wasn't there. Several of you have e-mailed me to say you enjoyed the day and wished I was there. I appreciate that! I wish I was there too.

I'll get all the orders in this week and have them to you ASAP!
Thanks again for all your support :)

10 for $10 update.....

I will be back in town October 6th for my annual 10 for $10 at Royer Park from 9 to noon. Invitations will go out the first week of September and as you know attendance is on a first come first served basis. Those of you who attended the Saturday session of CKO saw the sign up sheet for it. I have it here now, but you still have to respond to me by phone or e-mail once you receive your invitation. No credit cards will be taken on class fees. Call me or e-mail me, I'll put you on the list and you'll have a four days to get your registration money to me. Usually I am pretty flexible about deadlines but this time you have to RSVP by September 15th. I have to get papers cut and mail everything ahead of time as I am flying in and my arms can't carry it all. :) Get it?? Seriously though, I have to have a deadline for this so if you really want to attend, please notify me early.

My mom was here last week for a visit . It was nice to see her again; I think it had been about a year! This is the first time I've seen my mom alone without my sisters or a holiday gathering in 15 years. There was no stamping going on while she was here...most of you know how she feels about handmade cards! If not, I'll be glad to share the funny story with you....Several years ago during my first year of stamping and enjoying my brand new hobby, my mom called to ask if we were ok. I said of course we are, why? She said she was just thinking things must be really tight for us in California if I have to make my own cards!!! Don't we have a dollar store??? Clearly, she just does NOT 'get' the whole stamping thing and still doesn't! It was good to see her though!

I'll have some more to post later this week. I'm stamping tomorrow :) Thanks again for attending the catalog kick-off and a special thank you to Suzie and Jennifer for taking great care of my friends and customers.

Cutie Pie

At the Stampin' Up! convention they showed off the Cutie Pie Designer Papers and I just loved them...so I bought some! Today I made cards using a few of the prints. The papers coordinate beautifully with Purely Pomegranate (I love it because it looks like Rose Red), Certainly Celery, So Saffron and Bashful Blue.

Top left card used the words from All Holiday.
Top right used Happy Everything and Priceless.
Bottom left used Priceless.
Bottom middle used Block Party and Big Bold Birthday. The cupcake frosting was stamped in Versamark and embossed in Irridescent Ice Embossing Powder.
Bottom right used Sassy Stems.

Ladybug Portfolio

I had a few papers left over from the Open House so I actually finished them...shocking for me... and made a portfolio for them. I thought it would make a nice Hostess gift. The portfolio is one sheet of paper folded in half and folded 2 1/4" inches up. I used the large hole punch from the Crafters Tool Kit to make the holes for the ribbon. Have I mentioned how much I love the new 5/8" grosgrain ribbon??? This ones holds 4 cards and 4 envelopes.

More 3x3"s

I have always loved the little 3 x 3 Love Note size. After attending convention and seeing all the darling ones there, I really LOVE them now! These are made with the Looks Like Spring set and the new River Rock and Soft Sky papers. Click on them to get a closer look.

The Soft Sky Designer papers are beautiful to work with. It's nice to have new and refreshing colors. I was freaking out when Stampin' Up! introduced the In Colors and said they would be in the catalog only one year. I am finding it is fun to have new colors and I'm almost over missing Cranberry Crisp...of course it isn't holiday season yet :)

Calander information center made out of coasters.

Convention pictures

We took off at lunch the last day and visited the U.S. Mint in Denver. We didn't have time for the tour but visited the gift shop. I got some cool coins for the boys.
Suzie Barnes and me.

Walking across the stage to recieve my award for selling over 40K last year.. I also walked across for earning the cruise to Bermuda.
Thousands and thousands of stamping women at the pajama-rama on the first night. I got up to take a random picture of the crowd and the funny thing about this picture is Suzie is standing there in her pink shirt and I didn't even know where she was in the room! How funny is that!
Shelli Gardner, co-founder of Stampin' Up! in her pajamas at the pajama-rama and me...I really didn't have pajamas on :)
Shelli signing my convention name tag. She is so sweet!
My downline girls Jennifer, Trina and Lori. I was so glad to have three of my group attend convention. We had a great time together and learned so much!
